At Cocolitos we believe in children’s design that cares for both the planet and for people. Our products follow principles of sustainability, circularity and proximity, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. Every poster, piece of furniture or textile we produce is created with the intention of being useful, safe and durable – leaving a better world for those who need it most: our children.

Circular design and responsible consumption

Childhood deserves objects that accompany growth without generating unnecessary waste. That is why at Cocolitos we embrace circular design: resilient, timeless products made to last. Our pieces are created to be handed down between siblings, reused in the classroom or passed from one generation to another, avoiding a culture of disposable consumption.

In this way, we reduce environmental impact and promote more conscious consumption, where quality takes precedence over quantity. We want every object not only to be functional, but also to have a long and meaningful life.

Sustainable and safe materials

The choice of materials is key to ensuring both children’s safety and care for the environment. At Cocolitos we work with FSC® certified wood from responsibly managed forests, organic textiles dyed to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class I, free from harmful substances, and high-quality papers certified chlorine- and heavy-metal-free, suitable for children.

We use 100% recycled pulp card and paper for short-life elements such as shipping packaging or promotional leaflets, and biodegradable materials to ensure that each delivery arrives safely while minimising impact.

Our commitment is to always use raw materials that are non-toxic, durable and recyclable. We also prioritise local and European suppliers to reduce transport emissions and support producers who share our values.

Local production and human value

Every Cocolitos piece is the result of an artisanal process that combines design and tradition. We collaborate with workshops in Barcelona and its surroundings, fostering local employment and contributing to a fairer, more sustainable economy.

Local production not only reduces the carbon footprint linked to transport, it also allows us to maintain close control over the quality and safety of our products. We believe in a business model that values people and craftsmanship, ensuring that every object carries a human and honest story.

Responsible packaging and logistics

The journey of each product does not end in the workshop but in your hands. That is why we pay special attention to packaging and logistics. All our shipments use plastic-free, recycled packaging, aiming to reduce waste as much as possible.

In addition, we are working to develop a circular packaging model, exploring systems of reuse and return that allow us to close the cycle and minimise waste generation.
